DRi is pleased to announce the placement of a new team of leaders for the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the country’s oldest and largest civil rights coalition of more than 200 national organizations.
DRi worked with the Leadership Conference to continue building out its leadership team. After previously placing its Vice President of Development, we led searches for an Executive Vice President of Field and Member Services and Vice President of Finance, who will enhance the Leadership Conference’s integrated support for multi-stakeholder national campaigns that advance an agenda for progressive change in the United States.
Vanessa Gonzalez, The Leadership Conference’s new Executive Vice President of Field and Member Services, was most recently the Assistant Vice President for Outreach and Strategy at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), where she led the design and launch of a strategic effort to expand outreach to communities of color. She previously held a newly-created position at the Center for American Progress, which was part of a year-long experiment in bringing together the organization’s policy research and advocacy efforts.
Ravi Shankar, The Leadership Conference’s new Vice President of Finance, has 8 years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for NatureServe, where he was involved in strategic planning and management, with oversight of budget development, accounting, human resources, and grants and contracts.
We extend our enthusiastic congratulations to The Leadership Conference and to Vanessa and Ravi. We look forward to seeing their success together!
