Kari Borse is the Executive Assistant to DRi’s President and CEO Jennifer Dunlap. In this critical role, Kari manages logistics for all of Jennifer’s executive search and development consulting assignments and serves as a significant point of contact helping to meet client and candidate needs.
While managing Jennifer’s schedule, Kari also works closely with DRi‘s full executive search and development consulting teams to provide broad administrative support for all of our work. Kari collaborates with our Executive Search Associates to maintain DRi‘s database of tens of thousands of non-profit leaders; she coordinates with our Candidate Stewardship Associate to arrange travel for candidates in the final phase of searches; and she works with our Development and Communications Associates to prepare documents for clients and candidates. Kari’s thorough administrative support ensures that no detail is left unchecked in the executive search and development consulting process.
Before joining DRi, Kari worked in the hospitality industry for 2 years. As a primary resource for guests and an administrator responsible for billing, accounting, and event management, Kari developed both the outreach and organizational skills needed to provide exceptional service to DRi‘s clients and candidates.
Originally from Northern Michigan, Kari earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. She is still adjusting to mid-Atlantic residents’ belief that 30-dgree weather is cold. While she earned her undergraduate degree, Kari also helped found a Residential College Forum to raise awareness of campus and community issues. Kari currently lives in D.C. with her two cats, Nidria and Lydia, and writes creatively in her free time.
