DRi is delighted to announce our placement of the Associate Director of Advancement at the Washington International School, an institution that provides an exemplary DC-based learning community enriched by differences, informed through inquiry, and global in reach.

DRi’s Senior Consultant Jeff Johnson worked with the Washington International School to recruit an Associate Director of Advancement to lead the school’s annual giving program, invigorating it with creative approaches and ensuring the adoption of best practices in independent school fundraising. The search sought a multi-faceted fundraising leader who could work closely with the Director of Advancement and Director of Alumni and Constituent Relations on family programs and initiatives.

Today we recognize Katie McCrystal for becoming the Washington International School’s Associate Director of Advancement. Katie brings more than 5 years of experience in fundraising and volunteer engagement and advanced training in Leadership in Higher Education to WIS. She most recently served as Associate Director of Development and Alumni Relations at The George Washington University, where she exceeded fundraising goals. Katie was also the Director of The Heidelberg Fund at Heidelberg University, where she created and implemented a comprehensive strategic fundraising plan that grew the University’s annual giving program.

Congratulations to Katie and Washington International School – we look forward to seeing their success together!
