DRi is delighted to announce our placement of a Director of Development at the Chrysler Museum of Art, one of the most significant art museums in the Southeastern United States.

DRi’s CEO Jennifer Dunlap previously partnered with the Board of Directors at the Chrysler Museum to recruit Director Erik Neil, who has led the institution since 2015. Under Erik’s direction, the Chrysler Museum has successfully expanded its fundraising program and made the decision to increase its investment in its professional fundraising team. The museum renewed its partnership with DRi to identify a Director of Development to accelerate its growth and continue enhancing the visibility and success of its encyclopedic art collection, family-friendly events, Glass Studio, and more.

Today we recognize Heather Sherwin for becoming the Chrysler Museum’s Director of Development. Heather brings to the museum more than two decades of experience in fundraising, with a focus on arts and educational institutions. She most recently served as Vice President for Advancement at the Central Carolina Community Foundation, where she developed strategies to raise more than $22M. Heather previously served as Director of Principal Gifts at the Cleveland Museum of Art, where she designed new marketing strategies and helped complete a $350M capital campaign.

Congratulations to Heather and the Chrysler Museum of Art – we look forward to seeing their success together!

Today we congratulate Laurie Tarpey for becoming Public Interest Registry’s Chief Financial Officer. Laurie has spent the last 8 years in CFO-equivalent roles: she served as  COO at the accounting firm Raffa, where she managed a $50M budget; as interim CFO for two non-profits during her tenure at Raffa, including the $70M American Nurses Association; as CFO at Northern Virginia Family Service, where she managed a $36M budget; and as VP of Finance at the award-winning consulting firm ENC Strategy.
