DRi is pleased to announce the placement of Julie Roberts as the new Kentucky Center VP of Development.
The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts has served as a cultural beacon in historic Louisville since 1983. Serving as a portal to the vibrant art community in Louisville and Kentucky, The Kentucky Center has made it its mission to ensure that the wonders of the cultural arts is accessible to all. Offering audience members everything from Bluegrass to Bach, The Kentucky Center preserves and promotes the unique history, heritage, and arts of the state for local residents and tourists alike. Bringing the community into the arts, The Kentucky Center also brings the arts directly to communities, leading a nationally-recognized community engagement program in 113 of Kentucky’s 120 counties. Partnering with schools and universities to bring the arts to aspiring students, and hospitals and senior centers to bring performances to promote healing, The Kentucky Center’s impact extends far beyond its stage seating.
With The Kentucky Center being much more than just a performing arts center, DRi knew that the next Kentucky Center VP of Development would have to be just as passionate and creative as the Center is. It was clear that Julie’s prior experience and commitment was a perfect match for The Kentucky Center. She had previously served as the Director of Development for the Actors Theatre of Louisville, one of the nation’s most revered regional theatres. Julie’s appreciation for the arts, along with her being a lifelong resident of Louisville, closely aligned her with the local and community impact that The Kentucky Center offers. Consistently growing the donor base and the revenue of the organizations she served, Julie was the clear choice for expanding The Kentucky Center’s already wide reach. She received her B.A. from Western Kentucky University.
We wish Julie and the Kentucky Center much success in their artistic ventures.
